This family session is a few years overdue as I had planned to take some baby photos of Silas. Now he’s a big brother to the twins, Amanya and Devon! Three makes for a much more eventful session anyways:) I loved having the kids play at home since they have a lot of extra land to run around in. Monica and James may be outnumbered, but excel at teamwork. Amanya and Devon are always on the go (except for snack time). Silas adores the twins…when they’re not after HIS toys. We ended the day with a delicious BBQ. Any day that ends with BBQ is a good day.
I can’t believe it’s only been a couple of years since I had my first session with baby Lucas. Now he’s a big brother to baby Jacob. Yet again, our photo day was hot and humid. Sam and Fiona are now pros at this so it didn’t phase them one bit. Lucas is a thrill seeker and loves to be silly. Jacob loves to wear a smirk and knows he’s adorable. It was a fun packed day that ended with watermelon. Yes, they’ve got game.
Welcome to my 1st birthday party! My mom’s a superstar so she made an awesome poster to match my cake:) Hey! Let’s do that again.gift time… where have i gone?i’m loving this running thing.more of mom’s creative work.thanks mommy & daddy, it was a blast! When Jen asked me to document Logan’s first birthday, I knew instantly it was going to be a lot of fun. I already know she’s super creative and talented from working with her at school. Without a doubt, she’s one awesome mom! Logan is very lucky to have such great friends and family. He’s super cute, easy going and happy (even without cake:)). Not only were the decor and people amazing…the fooood!!! I finally met Katrina, the woman behind the amazing pulled pork, fresh buns, homemade sauce and slaw. You can follow her amazing food adventures here. An afternoon with Logan and his family was an absolute joy to take part in their celebration of life and love.
It’s been a few years since I’ve had a session with these two young ladies. A lot changes in a short amount of time:) Ema has really become even more adventurous and a lover of life. Leah, her younger sister, has grown even more adorable and passionate. What they do have in common is their love and affection for their grandparents. It always melts my heart to watch grandparents being free with the young ones in play. Thank you to Ema & Leah’s family for bringing me into in a day of wonder, celebration and joy.
Hugs & Kisses,
a stunning collection of vintage tea cups celebrating this very special mama of the houryes, it was definitely just as delicious as it was beautifulsoon to be grandmas As I was driving my girls to this special event, I overheard my 8 yr older daughter explaining to my younger one the details of the day. “It’s not a real shower where you get wet. It’s a party for the baby that’s coming. There’s also no baby at the shower because she’s still in her tummy.” Yes, those are the facts of a baby shower delivered simply. This however, was not just another shower. It was a day I’ve been wishing for a while. Tracy, my cousin/sister is one of the most special people in my life. This year I’ve had the privilege to spend much more time with her as I’ve been working part time. We’ve spent many days exploring new food adventures week after week. During one of our outings, she tells me she’s pregnant. Best day ever.
Bonnie, her dear friend and host, created the beautiful decor and delicious food! I can’t express how thankful I was to be a part of her very special day. Tracy was surrounded by so many wonderful family and friends who continually offer her so much love and support.
Dear baby girl,
I can’t wait to meet you! Your mama is one very special lady. Your daddy ain’t too shabby either:)
I promise that you’ll be loved beyond your wildest dreams. Many people care for you and are
ready to help you grow into the beauty that you are meant to be. Trust me, you’re in good hands.
Am I posting winter pictures in June? Uh, yes I am. I’ve been shooting events during the spring/summer and found these images left on my camera. I don’t miss the nasty cold but I do miss the winter sports. Yeah, I’m one of those Canadians who actually love the snow! LOL. Stellar had the privilege of taking snowboarding lessons for the first time this year…and yes, she absolutely loves it! This means we’ll be looking for more gear and lessons at the beginning of next winter. Lesson of the day: when winter gives you snow and ice, make it FUN!
It was our family’s first trip to the distillery. T’was cooold yet sunny filled with Christmas cheer. We didn’t end up buying anything because things were on the high side. I almost caved into the local merry-go-round but held my ground thinking they can settle for a piggy back ride. We came away with 2 free giant kinder eggs and hot chocolate. In keeping with the spirit of Christmas, the best event was giving away our parking pass to another family on our way out.
